The Fun of 2011

Blogging has been an adventure and a lot of fun for me.  I love being able to have a "journal" to share with my family and friends that live far away, and it's so fun to look back and see what my kids enjoyed and what other bloggers enjoyed.  So here are a few of the 'top' posts this past year.

These first few activities were a few of the most viewed and most pinned.

A fun marble painting activity that turned into this!  The best thing is, any color can become anything you, or your kiddos, want!

This is a fun number learning tub that can be used any time of the year.

An overview of the hands-on approach we take to math.

Teaching symmetry in a hands on, seasonal approach.

An easy way to teach addition.  Our activity was counting by "twos" but there are limitless possibilities with this type of game.

My Elf on the Shelf posts were popular too, if you're brainstorming ideas for next year.  ; )

One of my son's favorite activities this year:

Building the Mayflower
This was a short little history lesson with a preschool "woodworking" activity to finish it off!

I'm looking forward to another fun/educational year with my children, and sharing it through blogging!

  1. I like how you teach math. I'll be checking back soon when I'm ready to teach math to my preschooler.
