Ultrasound reveal

We just got back from vacation recently, and I can't wait to share the fun, but we're moving this weekend so things are too crazy this week for me to sit down at the computer that long.  I will try to share them soon!

Until then, I do have one thing to share!  We had the screening ultrasound a couple days ago.  Yes, we do find out the gender during this ultrasound.  There was no particular reason the first time, but the second pregnancy and this one, we have other children that we are helping to adjust to a big change.  Finding out the gender and eventually picking a name will help them identify and bond with their soon to be sibling.

We took the boys with us, and Hulk was only mildly interested, but Iron Man was fascinated.  He asked a lot of questions and the ultrasound technician jumped in and answered several for him.  When Hulk got goofy and called the baby chocolate, Iron Man told his little brother that "Babies are not chocolate, they are made of bones and skin and blood like us...wait, where's the cord?"  (We recently had a long discussion about belly buttons.)  He also loved hearing the heartbeat!

It's a little hard to see in this picture, but mom and dad can see that baby #3 has the same nose as both big brothers.

Oh, and in case you're wondering...it's a GIRL!

At least that's what they tell us anyway.  ;-)

  1. Congrats! The boys will love being BIG brothers to a little sister : ) Sounds like you are in the same boat as me... preggers with baby number 3 AND moving! At least we don't have to carry the heavy stuff ; )

    1. Thank you Allison! I have a feeling choosing a girl name will be harder for us than the boys, for some reason!
