Spelling Fun

I found Spelling Fun on clearance at Wal-Mart awhile back, and while it is far from being a spelling lesson of any type, it's a fun way for preschoolers to practice letter sounds and work at building a few 3 letter words.  Iron Man asks for it occasionally as he enjoys "spelling" and "reading" the words he makes.

Sometimes he goes by the picture at first, and has to correct himself when he looks at the letters.  He often mistakes "cap" for a "hat" and has to think about the letter sounds in order to figure out the correct word.

It's a great filler activity when he wants to do "school", especially when I don't have anything specific planned...and it will be particularly useful when he is older and actually doing formal reading/spelling lessons, because it will give little brother something similar to work on.
